A few words from our past guests

This is a very simple site but the pitches are good - level and well laid out and maintained with easy access to water. Power is charged additionally. Great for dogs as there is a safe paddock though there is a crow scarer that goes off sometimes that might scare some. We loved it as we went at New Year and it was really quiet - if you like bleak and remote and dark night skies, it's for you. There is easy walking nearby and the little church at Harty is well worth a visit. The owners are young and enterprising and we wish them all the best!

Dave & MegWonderfully Remote

Stayed here for 2 nights in the middle of March. Myself my wife and our 3 dogs. We where welcomed by the very friendly host who showed us where everything was and gave us some information on the local amenities which was a nice touch. The host lives on site and was to hand if needed but was in no way intrusive and we were left alone which to us is perfect. The site is meticulously looked after and very clean and tidy with elsan point, drinking water and hook up all included in the very reasonable price. It is one of the most peaceful sites we have stayed at but it should be noted that it is surrounded by farmland and while we were there a bird scarer was going of regularly so if you've got dogs that don't like loud bangs this might not be the site for you.

This gated CL has 5 individual almost level hard standing, 16 amp electric hook up, and your own tap all set around a large beautifully landscaped area. Recycling also available. We stayed here from13-20th January 2024. Our weather was very cold but days were bright, sunny with cloudless blue skies. We had a warm welcome from Tanya who showed us around. We walked the various local beaches and also drove to Harty where the ferry used to operate. Lovely views across the River Swale there and as we walked we found a quaint little old church which we enjoyed looking around. We highly recommend Woody’s at Leysdown for excellent fish and chips. We ate them in our car looking out to the sea. The island is easy to travel around by car and there is a bus service too. The site over all is excellent, peaceful too. It’s a credit to its new owners. One of the most attractive we have stayed on, and we only use CL’s. We hope to return again especially as it’s not too far from our home town.
