Nestled in the quiet countryside of Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey, Rides House Farm is a small, family-run certified location campsite offering space, simplicity and a warm welcome. With just five well-kept hardstanding pitches, electric hook-up, and a laid-back, dog-friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to switch off, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy a slower pace of life. Whether you’re here for a short stop or a longer stay, we aim to make your visit easy, relaxed and memorable.

Spacious Hardstanding Pitches

Our site offers five generous hardstanding pitches, each surrounded by natural greenery for a bit of privacy and peace. With space to park your car beside your van and plenty of room to breathe, it’s the ideal setup for a comfortable stay.

Electric & Water Points

Every pitch includes electric hook-up, and two pitches have their own dedicated water supply. There’s also a shared water point available on-site. Electricity is metered at 35p/kWh, ensuring fair usage.

Practical Facilities On Site

We’ve kept things simple but functional. You’ll find a clean Elsan point, plus general refuse and recycling bins available for guest use. Please help us keep the site clean and environmentally friendly.

Truly Dog-Friendly

We welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes — especially the cheeky ones! With footpaths nearby and plenty of space to unwind, our site is ideal for canine companions. Just keep them on a lead and clear up after them.

Quiet, Rural Location

Located in Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey, our site offers a relaxing rural escape. You’re just a short stroll from the coast and close to bridleways, beaches, and nature reserves — perfect for walking, wildlife spotting and recharging.

Certified Location (CL) Site

As a Caravan and Motorhome Club Certified Location, you’ll need to be a current member to book with us. Please have your membership number ready when enquiring. Booking in advance is advised, especially during peak periods.

Good to Know Before You Arrive

Check-in is from 12pm and check-out by 11am. Barbecues and open fires are not permitted. We don’t currently offer public Wi-Fi, and signal strength may vary due to our rural location — but that’s all part of the charm.

What amenities are available at the caravan site?

We have electric hookups on all pitches. Two pitches with water and a separate communal water point. All pitches are hard standing. There is an Elsan point. We have refuse and recycling bins.

Can I bring my pet to the caravan site?

Yes, we are a pet-friendly site. However, pets must be kept on a leash at all times, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.

Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak seasons, to guarantee a spot. However, we do accept last minute bookings if there are available spaces.

Do I need to be a caravan and motorhome club member?

Yes you will need to supply your membership number upon booking.

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in is from 12.00 noon, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you need to check in or out at a different time, please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Is there Wi-Fi available?

No unfortunately we do not have public Wi-Fi. However, please note that due to the rural location, 4g signal strength may vary in certain spots.

Can I use a barbecue or campfire on the site?

No, barbecues and open fires are not permitted.

Are there any nearby attractions or activities?

Our site is conveniently located near several outdoor attractions, including hiking trails, beaches, and wildlife reserves. You can also visit local towns for shopping, dining, and cultural experiences. Feel free to ask our staff for more information about nearby activities.

Can I park my car next to my caravan?

Yes, each pitch includes parking for one vehicle next to your caravan. If you have additional vehicles, please check with us for available parking options.

Is there an additional charge for electricity?

All pitches charge an additional fee. Please confirm the details at the time of booking.
